Mayor Kathy Taylor and the Tulsa City Council, led by Council Chairman John Eagleton, dedicated City Hall at One Technology Center last Thursday. Event festivities included the unveiling of a commemorative plaque for the public entrance, music from the Central High School choir, refreshments and public tours of the building.
“We are here to celebrate yet another benchmark in Tulsa’s modern history,” Mayor Taylor said. “This event places us firmly into a leadership role in this new century, and this building makes a bold declaration of who we are as a city. One Technology Center underscores our intentions to be a force in the future, and a leader in this new national and international economy.”
More than 900 City of Tulsa employees now office in City Hall at One Technology Center, including city services such as utility payment services, building and permit licensing, the Mayor’s Office and City Council Chambers.
City Hall at One Technology Center has allowed city offices to consolidate and identify new sources of revenue for the city. One Technology Center was purchased through tax exempt bonds repaid by revenue from third party tenant leases. Other tenants that occupy the building are Bank of Oklahoma, Level 3 Communications and Deloitte and Touche.
