The City of Tulsa has openings on several authorities, boards and commissions that are waiting for citizens to volunteer their services to the community. Mayor Kathy Taylor and the City Council rely on these volunteer citizen groups for thoughtful advice to create policies and develop programs.
Individuals from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply to serve on these boards. Applicants for all Mayor-appointed positions must be Tulsa residents. Some boards have additional requirements.
Currently vacancies exist on the following boards: Plumbing Appeals – one architect and one professional engineer engaged in private practice; Electrical Examiners Appeals Board – one electrical journeyman; Performing Arts Center Trust – one vacancy; and Tulsa Authority for the Recovery of Energy – one vacancy.
Applications for service on a City authority, board or commission may be downloaded online. Applicants also may call 596-7411 or e-mail hparkhurst@cityoftulsa.org to request an application by mail.
