Celebrate spring at one of the many events in the Tulsa area that embrace nature and “green” living during an extended Earth Week.
Be sure to attend “ReFresh Tulsa” this Thursday night, April 16. The event, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Tulsa Garden Center, will benefit three of Tulsa’s sustainability efforts: Up With Trees, a partner in ReGreen Tulsa; Sustainable Tulsa, co-host of the Greening the (918) series and active in many other efforts; and the Mayor’s Green Team, co-host of the Greening the (918) series and the Go-Green Conference set for June 20.
Visit the Tulsa Zoo on Saturday, April 18 for EarthFest from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and enjoy educational activities for the entire family. Half-price admission is available if you bring an old cell phone for recycling during the month of April.
Mark your calendars for Grow Your Own Bat Night on Sunday, April 19 from 2 to 5 p.m., and Monday, April 20 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Drillers Stadium, brought to you by Up With Trees. Drillers’ fans will receive a free seedling, while supplies last.
The 11th Annual Enviro-Expo will be held Wednesday, April 22 in downtown Tulsa, between 4th and 5th Streets on Main Street, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees can pick up information on the environment from many organizations and programs.
Come out and see what all the talk is about and get green!
