Just in time for spring cleaning season, Free Landfill Days for Tulsans are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, April 18 and 19, at Quarry Landfill, 13740 East 46th Street North. The City of Tulsa and the Tulsa Authority for the Recovery of Energy will host this event and offer it as a service to Tulsans to help keep our neighborhoods clean and safe.
Participants must show a City of Tulsa utility bill or a driver’s license with an address within the Tulsa city limits in order to be admitted to the landfill. The entrance is on 46th Street North, approximately 1-½ miles east of U.S. 169. (Note: there are two landfills on East 46th Street North. Look for the Quarry Waste Management Inc. signs.)
Free Landfill Days hours will be 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The landfill closes promptly at 3 p.m. Loads should be secured and covered in vehicles and trailers traveling to the landfill.
No items containing Freon refrigerant will be accepted (air conditioners and refrigerators). There will be a $2 fee for each discarded tire. This covers state fees for disposal and recycling of tires.
