Convention Center Celebrates Topping-Out

Last Thursday, members of the Tulsa Vision Builders, Tulsa Convention Center iron workers and the City of Tulsa were all on hand to celebrate the topping-out of the Tulsa Convention Center – the ceremony that celebrated the placement of the final and highest piece of steel on the new Tulsa Convention Center ballroom.

The Tulsa Convention Center currently houses the largest ballroom in Oklahoma. The current Vision 2025 project will add a glass wall overlooking the BOK Center and add a corridor connecting the ballroom to the rest of the Tulsa Convention Center.

The renovation is expected to be complete in spring 2010 and will add 52,200 square feet of rentable space to increase the number of events Tulsa can accommodate between the BOK and Convention Centers. For more information about the renovation of the Tulsa Convention Center, online.
