London, Budapest, Paris and Tulsa will all share in celebrating Global Entrepreneurship Week during the third week of November. The Tulsa business community will join Mayor Taylor to celebrate and support the entrepreneurs of Tulsa in this world-wide celebration.

Entrepreneurs make up the fastest growing business segment in Oklahoma and play a vital role in influencing the quality of life and the impact of Tulsa’s economic strength. This publicly driven award will honor excellence in the entrepreneurial community and give 10 entrepreneurs a chance to be honored as the Civic, Emerging, Entertainment, Franchise, Green, Interactive, Legend, Serial and the coveted, Entrepreneur of the Year in Tulsa. Entrepreneurs can be nominated for each category at www.thetulseys.com, through Thursday, October 2, 2008.

"Tulsa has the formula for becoming a global center for entrepreneurism. It is in the strength of our small business sector, the programs we are creating to increase awareness of the resources available to entrepreneurs, and a support network that nurtures and encourages people to become free agents in the marketplace," Mayor Taylor said.
