Construction nearing completion at 15th Street, Utica Avenue; all lanes open

Street improvements at the intersection of East 15th Street and South Utica Avenue are nearing completion. All lanes are open to traffic and left turns are legal in all four directions. As the contractor finishes final items, partial lane closures still are possible.

The intersection of 15th Street and Utica Avenue has undergone a complete reconstruction, building the street from the roadbed to the surface. Left-turn lanes, new traffic signals and new sidewalks have been added.

The City of Tulsa contracted with Becco Contractors Inc. for this $2.3 million project, which was funded by the 2001 Third Penny Sales Tax. Construction began in June 2008.
