Trash Collection Service will Operate on Friday (City Holiday); Green-waste site to Close on Saturday and Sunday

Residential trash and curbside recyclables will be collected in all areas of the city of Tulsa on Friday, November 10, which is a City Holiday in honor of Veterans Day. Services other than refuse pickup – cart repairs, cart sets, bulky waste or dead animal service – will resume on Monday.

The City’s green waste/wood chip site will be closed on Saturday, November 11, and Sunday, November 12. The green waste/wood chip site is located at 10401 E. 56th St. North. Its usual operating hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, except for City holidays.

Tulsa residents may drop off yard waste at the site free of charge. They should bring proof of residence such as a driver’s license or utility bill. Commercial customers and residents outside of Tulsa will need to set up accounts to be billed for this drop-off service.

Anyone, however, may take as much green waste material as desired free of charge. A front-end loader operator is available to load the green waste into pickup trucks and trailers.

A firewood cutting area also is available at the green waste site. Those who cut their wood at the site must bring their own tools.
