In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, the City’s green waste/wood chip site at 10401 E. 56th St. North will be closed on Thursday, November 23; Friday, November 24; Sunday, November 26, and Monday, November 27. It will, however, be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 25.
On Tuesday, November 28, the green waste/wood chip site will resume its normal schedule: open daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. except for City holidays.
Tulsa residents may drop off yard waste at the site free of charge. They should bring proof of residence such as a driver’s license or utility bill. Commercial customers and residents outside of Tulsa will need to set up accounts to be billed for this drop-off service.
Anyone, however, may take as many wood chips as desired free of charge. A front-end loader operator is available to load the wood chips into pickup trucks and trailers.
Firewood also is available free of charge to anyone while supplies last. There is a firewood cutting area at the green waste/wood chip site. Those who cut wood at the site must bring their own tools.
