Tulsa Parks Springs Youth Leagues

In a continuous effort to get Tulsa kids physically fit, Tulsa Parks has again dedicated their Spring Youth Sports League with a “Fight the Fat” theme. Along with the Mayor’s Fitness Challenge program, the Youth Sports League is an ideal ‘fat-fighting’ program that gets youth away from the computer or off the couch and shape up.

The Mayors’ Fitness Challenge was designed for just such a program promoting health and fitness throughout the Tulsa area. The program partners with several private and governmental agencies to coordinate and promote health-related programs.

“Our Spring Youth Sports League has been a great success for many years,” declares Sue Price, Youth Sports Coordinator for Tulsa Parks. “Boys and girls can sign up for Coed Soccer or Coed T-Ball. They’ll get in some great exercise and have fun at the same time!” Most games are played on Saturdays, as well as at 6pm on some weekdays.

Soccer is designed for grades kindergarten through fifth, while T-Ball is for kindergarten and first-graders. The leagues include an eight-game season running from March 31 through May 24. Each entrant will play equally in every game, and receive a game t-shirt and a participation trophy. All leagues are co-ed with an entry fee of $45.

Information and registration are available from February 12 through March 2nd at the following Recreation Centers:
