Early in 2007, the City of Tulsa began a process to update its Comprehensive Plan - a chart to Tulsa's future. The support of all Tulsans is essential to success, so please visit our website regularly for updates and information on how you can participate.
On March 31, 2008, the City of Tulsa partnered with Fregonese Associates, nationally-recognized planning consultants, to update the Comprehensive Plan. For more information on the May 13th Kick-off event and future announcements, please visit the PLANiTULSA Project Website online.
The Comprehensive Plan guides the physical development of the City. Its policies provide a framework within which individuals, businesses and public officials can make decisions that are consistent with the community’s vision and objectives.

The Comprehensive Plan update process began in March 2007 with public meetings to hear what Tulsans want for the future. A Request for Proposal sought consultants to guide us through the update.

Going forward through the plan's development and beyond, the process will be inclusive and transparent, and continue to:
Embrace diverse points of view
Seek and build consensus
Present a harmony of ideas
Build community vision and spirit
If you haven't already, please join in the planning process by completing the "What Do YOU Think" Survey. And continue to check this PLANiTULSA website for announcements regarding upcoming events. City-wide participation is key to successfully updating the plan!
