Respite
The intention of respite services is to offer an interval of rest or relief for those who bear the majority of responsibility in caring for a dependent loved one.  Through Oxford Healthcare, Grandparents and Caregivers may elect to receive respit vouchers as an alternative to agency based in-home service provision or Companion Assisted Respite.  Companion Asssited Respite offers a Home Service Aid that will stay with the Care Recipient.  The aide will offer companionship and safety supervision not related to any personal care activities.  The aide may prepare a meal or meals as well as some very light housekeepking.  Respite vouchers are an alternative to in-home service.  Participants electing to exercise this option will be eligible to receive $400 of vouchers.  The vouchers will allow the Caregiver to facilitate their private arrangements for their loved one's respite care.
