Community Expansion of Nutrition Assistance – CENA
The Oklahoma State Legislature has ear-marked funds to assist senior centers throughout the state to expand or improve services to the seniors they serve.
Senior Center organizations eligible to apply for funding under this program include senior center organizations and any local city/ county governmental entities who have the capacity to meet the requirements for service delivery. Projects which utilize Title III Older American Act funds for established nutrition sites are NOT eligible for funds.
Requests for

funding for recreational or kitchen equipment,

updating or repairing facilities

or expanding transportation capabilities
are accepted once each year that funds are available.
The process usually begins at the start of the fiscal year, in July of each year.
