Mayor Kathy Taylor has announced two additional shows for this fall at the BOK Center. These shows will be the first comedy and first contemporary Christian concert in the new arena. America’s number one ventriloquist, Jeff Dunham, brings his Spark of Insanity tour and five show-stealing puppets to Tulsa on Friday, October 3, 2008. The Grammy-winning contemporary Christian group Casting Crowns will perform their Christmas Celebration show on Sunday, November 30.
Jeff Dunham’s Spark of Insanity show combines the art of ventriloquism with cutting-edge comedy for a show that has become wildly popular with the Comedy Central audience. Fans of all ages love his “Suitcase Posse” of frenzied—and sometimes inappropriate—puppets. See more at www.jeffdunham.com. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 6 at 10 a.m.
Casting Crowns is an award-winning Christian band that began as a student worship group in Daytona, Florida. It is now the most played group on Christian radio and is a recipient of a Grammy, several Dove awards, and the Contemporary Inspirational Artist of the Year at the 2007 American Music Awards. See more at www.castingcrowns.com. Tickets go on sale on Saturday, July 19 at 10 a.m.
Tickets for both shows will be available at the Tulsa Convention Center Box Office, online at www.bokcenter.com, charge by phone at 1-877-TULSA-CC or at participating tickets.com outlets.
