Tulsa Talents Finalists and More At the All-City Neighborfest

Seven acts ranging from solo and duet singers to dance troupes will entertain the crowd in the final round of “Tulsa Talents” competition, Tuesday, Aug. 5 at the final Neighborfest of the 2008 season.

Mayor Kathy Taylor and the Tulsa City Council welcome all Tulsans to the final citywide Neighborfest at Veteran’s Park, 1875 S. Boulder Ave., from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday to meet neighbors and friends and their elected city officials.

The Tulsa Talents competition, hosted by noted Tulsa musician and former NBA, University of Oklahoma and Olympic basketball standout Wayman Tisdale, drew performers of many kinds to compete at the first eight Neighborfests this summer. Judges at each event rated the acts and the top acts are invited back to perform at the final Veterans Park Neighborfest where the winner will receive $500 donated by Borden Dairy, one of the Neighborfest sponsors.

Borden donated ice cream and the local Pepsi bottling franchise donated soft drinks and bottled water, which are given free at each event.

The qualifiers who will perform at the final Tulsa Talents show, and the Neighborfest where each performed and qualified, include:
