Studies have shown that graffiti has less chance of reappearing if it is removed quickly after the property is tagged. The Public Works Department has a graffiti elimination program that will remove graffiti from public or private property including buildings, signs and utility boxes. Graffiti should be reported immediately to the Mayor's Action Center at 596-2100, or report online.
Neighborhoods, businesses and individuals can get involved by organizing neighborhood graffiti clean-up activities. The City's graffiti program can provide and distribute paint for use in graffiti elimination. For more information, call the Mayor's Action Center at 596-2100.
