Refuse and Recycling Task Force
A Refuse and Recycling Task Force was appointed
by former Mayor Kathy Taylor in September 2009. Members met monthly
as a group for one year. The Task Force submitted their
final report in October 2010 and provided the results of their
findings. Their preliminary repcommendations were presented to the
TARE Planning Committee on Sept. 15, 2010. Some
members continue to participate on committees, looking at
specific issues.
Task Force Recommendations
The Task Force is addressing three objectives: The Creation of a
Uniform Collection System for Tulsa; a Fair Rate Structure; and
ways to Encourage Recycling and Yard Waste Reuse.
