Neighborhood Dumpster Program
The City of Tulsa's Neighborhood Dumpster Program is a service
available to registered neighborhood groups to perform neighborhood
clean-up activities. Please understand that the City of Tulsa
has only one driver and one truck to set and pick up the dumpsters
for the entire city. Participating groups can make use of 10' x 25'
x 6' containers to dispose of eligible household items twice a
year.

Rules
Dumpsters are for use at residential sites and
CANNOT be used for commercial purposes (for
example, to clean out rental properties),
Certain items that CANNOT be placed in the
dumpsters (such as limbs and other tree debris, grass
clippings, Freon bearing appliances, car parts or tires, air
conditioners, roofing materials, and whole buildings, sheds or
garages). For further disposal options see information below.
PLEASE DO NOT OVERFILL DUMPSTER! Dumpsters should be no more
than three-fourth (3/4) full, so that they are easily transported
to the landfill. Items should not be placed on the ground around
the dumpster.
Other Services Available at No Extra Cost
BULKY WASTE PICK-UP: Residential refuse customers may arrange
for special curbside pick up of large / bulky items which are not
collected with regular service. This is a special service for
the occasional disposal of incidental household and related items
such as furniture or appliances. Call (918) 596-9777 to schedule a
pick up.
HOUSEHOLD POLLUTANT COLLECTION: There are two Household
Pollutant events held each year, where residents may dispose of
household substances which may harm the environment if poured down
the drain or placed in the trash. Contact the Metropolitan

information.
GREEN WASTE DROP-OFF: The City of Tulsa offers free yard waste
drop-off to the citizens of Tulsa. Residents who wish to dispose of
grass, leaves, brush and tree limbs must present a current drivers
license with a Tulsa address. Commercial customers and residential
customers living outside the Tulsa city limits will be billed for
this service. The Green Waste site is located at 10401 East 56th
Street North and is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week,
except City holidays. Wood chips are available to the public
during the hours of operation. online
DEAD ANIMAL REMOVAL: Dead animal collection from the street or
front yard can be arranged by calling (918) 596-9771.
FREE LANDFILL DAYS: Twice annually (once in the spring and once
in the fall) City of Tulsa residents may make use of the City's
contract landfill. online
RECYCLING DROP-OFF: The City of Tulsa supports residential
recycling of various recyclable materials through the M.e.t. at
several staffed drop-off centers. Items such as magazines,
newspaper, plastic, aluminum, motor oil, antifreeze and batteries
can be dropped off for recycling, seven days a week at a M.e.t
depot at one of several Tulsa locations:
