Community Centers
Tulsa Parks operates seven Community
Centers and three Specialty Centers located in parks
throughout Tulsa. Each Center offers a variety of
classes, activities, and events.
The three Specialty Centers concentrate
programs in a specific area. Those Specialty Centers include the
Henthorne Performing Arts Center, the Oxley and Redbud Valley
Nature Centers, and The WaterWorks Art Center.
The Henthorne Performing Arts Center, consisting of Heller and
Clark Theatre programs, specializes in performing arts
activities. Oxley and Redbud Valley are nature centers for wildlife
and plantlife. The WaterWorks Art Center focuses on such
visual arts as painting, drawing, sculpting, photography and
more.
Centers such as Lacy and Hicks offer
state-of-the-art fitness facilities equipped with weight machines,
free weights, rowing machines, treadmills, stationary bicycles and
other exercise equipment. Some centers have full-court gymnasiums,
dance studios and gymnastics equipment. Weight
