Two Helicopters Operable This Weekend
Mayor Bartlett and Police Chief Chuck Jordan have announced that
two helicopters will be back up in the air this weekend for
patrols. Both helicopters will continue to be maintained and will
be in the air at the same time only during an emergency or disaster
situation, as has been the past policy for the air patrol. Two
flight crews will trade between the helicopters for patrolling. The
funding to maintain and operate both helicopters will be
approximately $1.6 million over the next four years.
