Mayor Dewey Bartlett

Public Work crews have worked around the clock during recent winter storms to help Tulsans get to and from their workplaces, schools, homes and shopping. Waterline repair crews have been down in the cold, muddy trenches working to repair breaks at all hours of the day and night. Wintertime, with ice and snow and temperature extremes, is a busy time for Public Works employees. Please give each of them a thanks and a pat on the back for their commitment to our city's well being and safety. Already this winter City crews have treated more than 40,000 lane-miles of city streets with salt or snow plows during five winter-storm events, working on holidays and weekends when required. I'd like to thank those dedicated workers across the City departments - from Public Works to police and fire - who respond whenever needed to help make Tulsa roads safer and repair water lines during cold, winter storms.

Best regards,
Dewey Bartlett
Mayor of Tulsa
