Mayor Dewey Bartlett

On Monday, January 18, all of America will pause to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., as well as honoring his service to our nation. He helped shape America and left a shining legacy of hope and service that endures today.

In Dr. King's own words, "Everybody can be great. Because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve...you only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love."

I invite you to join me in carrying on Dr. King's legacy and find a way to serve and help others: whether it's volunteering to serve on a City of Tulsa Authority, Board or Commission, mentoring a child, or helping create new economic development opportunities in Tulsa - we can all join together and make a remarkable difference in our community.

Please read the "Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade" article in this edition of E-news for details on the parade.

Join me next Monday in commemorating Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Sincerely,
Dewey Bartlett, Jr.
Mayor
