Global Entrepreneurship Week is an initiative to inspire people to embrace innovation, imagination and creativity with scheduled events held Nov. 14 - 18. One of the highlights during Global Entrepreneurship Week is the fourth annual Tulsey Awards, presented by the City of Tulsa.


City Seeks Comment On Application for Clean-Up Grant

Brownfield sites represent some of the best opportunities for redeveloping Tulsa with a long-term view. The public is invited to comment on the City of Tulsa's application for a Brownfield Clean-Up Grant from the Environmental Protection Agency for the Evans-Fintube site located at 150 and 186 N. Lansing Ave.


Tulsa Parks - Winter Break Day Camps

Looking for a way to keep the kids entertained during the upcoming winter break? Tulsa Parks Community Centers are taking reservations for Winter Break Day Camps between December 21 and January 3, 2012. Space is limited and fees vary.


City Surplus Auction Draws Record Crowd and Sales

A record high of 1,103 bidders registered for the City of Tulsa's surplus property auction Nov. 5 and sales of vehicles, equipment and other merchandise brought in more than $800,000. The auction included 133 vehicles, as well as office equipment, machinery and unclaimed police property room items.

Last week I had the great pleasure of opening the Dream Exhibit at the Tulsa Historical Society Museum. This intergenerational exhibit is the first of its kind in the nation and is part of the City of Tulsa's Across the Generations initiative. More than 100 guests gathered together to enjoy a fun evening, which featured the vocal talents of the Tulsa Children's Chorus and the Tulsa Multigenerational Chorus, as well as an interactive reading of Susan V. Bosak's award-winning book, Dream.
