Reserve Your Spot in the Opening of the Nov. 9 Dream Exhibit
Tulsa families are invited to the Dream Exhibit Grand Opening on
Wednesday, Nov. 9, 7 - 9 p.m. at the Tulsa Historical Society, 2445
S. Peoria Ave. There is no charge to attend. Families attending the
reception will receive refreshments and a free sparkling Dreamer
pin. Seating is limited, so please visit www.legacyproject.org/tulsa
to reserve your seat for the Dream Exhibit opening.
The Dream Exhibit is made possible through the generous
sponsorship of The Williams Companies. The evening's program will
feature Mayor Dewey Bartlett and his wife, Victoria, as well as
musical selections by the Tulsa Children's Chorus and Tulsa
Multigenerational Chorus and an inspiring multimedia presentation
by bestselling author Susan V. Bosak.
"This is the first intergenerational exhibit of its kind in the
nation, and I'm extremely pleased that Tulsa has been selected to
showcase the Dream Exhibit along with our Across the Generations
Summit last month. The Dream Exhibit is an exciting display that
celebrates the power of dreams and will inspire us with artwork to
achieve those dreams. I encourage families to come by and see it
and dream big for Tulsa," said the mayor.
By the year 2030, one in every five Americans will be over 65.
The Across the Generations initiative will help Tulsa address
shifting demographics as it works to become a city that recognizes,
respects, and meets the needs of all ages and brings generations
together in support of one another.
The exhibit features all the original artwork created for Susan
Bosak's book, Dream - watercolor, oil, digital, 3-D
modeling clay, and more. There's also the magical, handcrafted
Dream Chest inspired by the chest in the book. Computer
interactives and concept drafts reveal the secrets behind the
creative process. You are also invited to make a Dream Star and
share your own dreams for Tulsa's future. Join the mayor for an
inspiring and momentous event for our city that will be an evening
to remember.
