Free Landfill Days This Weekend
City of Tulsa utility customers can participate in Free Landfill
Days, Saturday, April 16, and Sunday, April 17 at the Quarry
Landfill, 13740 East 46th Street North, approximately 1-1/2 miles
east of U.S. 169. The hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. to 3
p.m.
Tulsa utility customers can dispose of unwanted items, with some
exceptions noted below, on those days.
Participants must show a City of Tulsa utility bill or a
driver's license with an address within the Tulsa city limits in
order to be admitted to the landfill without paying a fee. Please
note that the landfill will close promptly at 3 p.m. on Saturday
and Sunday during the Free Landfill Days.
No items containing Freon refrigerant will be accepted (air
conditioners and refrigerators). There will be a $2 fee for each
discarded tire, which will cover state fees for disposal and
recycling of tires.
Loads in trucks and trailers should be secured and covered to
prevent contents from blowing out onto roadways and creating
traffic hazards.
