Biscuit Acres Dog Park to Reopen
Biscuit Acres, the off-leash dog park at Hunter Park, 5804 E.
91st St., will reopen to the public on May 25. Biscuit
Acres will be open every day from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The dog park was built nearly two years ago, as a second Tulsa
Parks dog park, in addition to Tulsa's first dog park, Joe Station
at 2279 Charles Page Blvd. These two dog parks are fenced, with
separate areas for large dogs and small dogs. They also are
equipped with water, restrooms, shade areas and seating.
Just last week, the City Council approved a pilot program for
dogs to be off leashes at the Golden Valley stormwater detention
facility on the north side of East 61st St. between
Highway 169 and Garnett Road. This location does not have the
amenities of the two parks, and dog owners are expected to have a
leash available, clean up after their dogs, and fill in any holes
that their dogs dig.
