Citizens Asked to Help Conserve Water
Although Tulsa has received some rainfall, the City of Tulsa is
still asking customers to help conserve water. Last week the city
of Tulsa set numerous water usage level records and temperatures
are not predicted to cool down soon.
The first trigger for water restrictions is reaching 206
MGD for two consecutive days. On Saturday, July 23 Tulsa used
207 MGD and used 189 MGD on Sunday, July 24. Tulsa has two water
treatment plants, Mohawk and A.B. Jewell. Together the plants have
the capacity to deliver 220 MGD.
Most of the water we use in the summer goes to landscaping,
grass and flowers. See
tips on how you can conserve water.
