We were also able to use revenues remaining from the previous year in combination with expense reductions. All of these factors will allow us additional spending on quality of life enhancements, as well as capital improvements. Tulsans will immediately see more frequent mowing of city properties, more pools will be open, and more funding will go toward the removal of graffiti and abatement of abandoned homes, streets and expressway lighting, and police and fire academies. These additions to the budget all came about through our citywide citizen survey which called for improved and enhanced citizen services for Tulsans. I am pleased to say our citizen's budget is moving us in the right direction toward a better and brighter future for our city.

Best regards,
Dewey Bartlett
Mayor
