Learn More About the Proposed Changes to Your Trash System

Your trash service is in the midst of a change. The Tulsa Authority for the Recovery of Energy (TARE) oversees long-term solid waste contracts for the City of Tulsa. The long-term contract with our current private hauler that collects trash from 80 percent of our households expires on June 30. By law, TARE has to competitively bid the contract. There is no other option by law.


City Offices Closed Labor Day, Sept. 5

City Hall and other City offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5, for Labor Day. Public safety and mission critical operations, however, will operate as normal. Residents who need assistance with a water or sewer problem may call the Customer Care Center at (918) 596-2100.


Tulsa Water Open Houses Continue in September

Tulsa will change the way it disinfects water later this year. Water & Sewer Department employees are conducting open house meetings in each of the nine Tulsa City Council districts to answer customers' questions about Tulsa's water supply, treatment processes and distribution system.
