City Offices Closed Labor Day, Sept. 5
City Hall and other City offices will be closed on Monday, Sept.
5, for Labor Day. Public safety and mission critical operations,
however, will operate as normal. Residents who need assistance with
a water or sewer problem may call the Customer Care Center at (918)
596-2100.
Residential refuse will not be collected on Monday, Sept. 5,
because of the holiday. Customers whose trash is picked up on
Mondays and Thursdays should put their accumulated trash at the
curb on Thursday, Sept. 8. Residents with once-a-week trash service
will not be affected by the holiday because Monday is not a usual
service day.
Recycling customers for whom Monday is a scheduled pick-up day
should put their recyclables for pickup at the curb on the
preceding Saturday, Sept. 3. This information was provided on the
postcard mailed to all customers showing their 2011 recycling
collection schedule.
The City's greenwaste site, 10401 E. 56th St. N.,
also will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5, for Labor Day. It will
reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 6, to resume its daily schedule of 8 a.m.
to 4 p.m., except for City holidays.
Tulsa Parks recreation centers will be closed on Monday, but the
parks' outdoor facilities will be accessible as usual. Lacy Park's
pool will be open on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 3 and 4, but closed
on Monday, Sept. 5. All other City pools already are closed until
next summer. The City of Tulsa Animal Welfare Shelter at 3031 N.
Erie Ave. also will be closed on Monday.
Mohawk and Page Belcher golf courses, as well as Tulsa Zoo, will
be open on Monday. Gilcrease Museum will be closed on Monday
according to its usual schedule. The Tulsa Performing Arts Center
also will be closed on Monday.
