City Hall In Your Neighborhood Draws Large Crowd in District 1
Mayor Dewey Bartlett, District 1 City Councilor Jack Henderson,
as well as other City Council members and City of Tulsa department
heads, greeted more than 300 Tulsans at the first of nine City Hall
In Your Neighborhood events.
District 1 residents came to ask about many topics ranging from
park repairs and improvements, the status of the Greenwood
Cultural Center, business development, abandoned properties and
suggestions to create task forces to work on issues such as
business attraction and engaging youth in productive
activities.
Tulsa Police Chief Chuck Jordan addressed questions about
minority hiring efforts in the police department and Tulsa Fire
Chief Alan LaCroix and his staff sought the community's support in
stemming arson fires which have been a growing problem in recent
months in areas north of downtown.
Eight more City Hall in Your Neighborhood events are scheduled
