Tulsa Parks Lifeguard Class
Interested in taking lifeguard classes to prepare for a future
lifeguard position? Registration is now being taken for enrollment
into Lifeguard Classes - but hurry, space is limited.
Classes will be held at the midtown YWCA, 1910 S. Lewis, on two
consecutive weekends and you will be required to attend all six
classes.
Class Dates and Times:
Friday, March 2 from 5 to 7:30
p.m.
Saturday, March 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Sunday, March 4 from noon to 3 p.m.
Friday, March 9 from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, March 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Sunday, March 11 from noon to 3 p.m.
Prerequisite requirements include: minimum age of 16 years; must
be able to swim 300 yards continuously using a front crawl and
breaststroke; swim 20 yards and surface dive seven feet, retrieve a
10-pound object, return to the surface and swim back to the
starting point with the object and exit the water - all within 1
minute and 40 seconds.
