Spring cleaning has begun! We need your assistance to Keep Tulsa Beautiful! Tulsa is a gorgeous city, yet every year the city spends more than $1,000,000 related to litter. The litter abatement program continues to make improvements around town and over the past year they now separate recyclables and drop them off at The M.e.t. Admiral recycling center. This is a first for any community in our state!
The City of Tulsa, The M.e.t. and Keep Tulsa Beautiful are teaming up again in 2008. Statistics show that when an area is clean it tends to stay that way; when an area is covered in litter and debris it only gets worse over time. We want you to join us in our commitment to keep Tulsa an attractive place to live, work and play. This is why we are making this a month long campaign during April (Earth Month) and seeking your help.
We will supply you with trash bags, safety equipment and other materials needed to make your activity easy and fun. You can pick up bags and a form at one of five area recreation centers listed below. We will even haul away the bags once you’ve filled them up. All you have to do is let us know when, where and how much. Make sure to complete the form and mail or fax it to The M.e.t. by May 4th so you can receive free Tulsa Driller baseball tickets for you and your group’s efforts. Groups that go above and beyond will be recognized on the field at the beginning of a May Driller's game.
