Tours of Water & Wastewater Plants Offered During Public Works Week May 17-23
Tours of the City of Tulsa's Mohawk and A.B. Jewell
Water Treatment Plants and the Northside and Southside Wastewater
Treatment Plants, Underground Collection Services, as well as the
laboratories that support the facilities, are being offered in
conjunction with National Public Works Week May 17-23.
Guided tours must be booked in advance by calling the
individual facilities.
For the A.B. Jewell Water Treatment Plant tour, call
669-6471. Jewell tours are ababile at 8:30 a.m. or at 3:20 p.m. on
Monday, May, 18, Tuesday, May 19 and Thursday, May 20. Each tour is
for up to 15 people.
For the Mohawk Water Treatment Plant tour, call
591-4025. Mohawk tours involve considerable walking and last 90
minutes or longer. They are available at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May
19 and Friday, May 22.
For the Southside Wastewater Treatment Plant, call
591-4440. Southside plant are available at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday,
May 19 and Thursday, May 21. There is a limit of 12 people per
tour.
Northside plant tours are available Monday, May 18,
Wednesday, May 20 and Friday, May 22 at 1 p.m. To arrange northside
tours call 591-4555.
Tours of the Underground Collection Services facility
are available for tours Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
