External Bids Opened for the City of Tulsa's OTC Facility Maintenance

As part of the City of Tulsa's first managed competition
project, the Standards, Specifications and Awards (SSA) committee
of the City of Tulsa opened 12 external bids for the One Technology
Center building maintenance in a public meeting, Thursday, May
12.
The request for proposals was divided into four areas of
maintenance. Vendors could bid on one or more of the maintenance
activities. The four areas of maintenance were: Building
Management, Building Maintenance, Custodial and Parking.
The bidders for all four sections for the bid were Federal
Janitorial, STG, LLC, Glendale, AZ and Core Facility Services, LLC,
New York City, NY
Commercial Realty, LLC, Tulsa, OK (doing business as) CB Richard
Ellis Oklahoma submitted a bid for building management and building
maintenance.
There were six vendors that bid on Custodial Only
- Myriad Property Services, Inc., Tulsa, OK
- Jani-King of Tulsa, Inc., Tulsa, OK
- Image Building Maintenance, Inc., Irving, TX
- Oklahoma Building Services, Inc., Oklahoma City, OK
- Source One Management Services, Inc., Tulsa, OK
- Entrust One Facility Services, Inc., Tulsa, OK
Three Vendors Bid On Parking Only
- Parking Systems of America, LP, Tulsa, OK
- Central Parking Systems of Oklahoma, Inc., Nashville, TN
- American Auto Parks, LLC, Tulsa, OK
All 12 bids on the OTC Facility Maintenance will be forwarded to
the evaluation committee, comprised of City employees, an
independent consultant and a local business representative, to
review the external bids, identify the best proposal and compare
them to the City of Tulsa's employee proposal.
Mayor Dewey Bartlett said, "Last fall's business study analysis,
which was based on input from City employees, provided us with a
long-term road map for the improved operations of Tulsa city
government. This is an exciting step in the process to improve our
city services and ensure taxpayers receive the greatest value."
"Our City employees, who received training to assemble a
competitive bid, have worked to create the best bid. Their bid will
be compared with the best external bid and the results should be
made public in June."
