Right of Way Construction Permits
Right of Way Permits must be obtained from the City of Tulsa
Permit Center before any construction or temporary activity begins
on City of Tulsa Rights of Way. This includes excavation,
obstruction, construction, placement of temporary buildings or
equipment, blocking traffic, etc. The City of Tulsa Ordinances
related to Rights of Way are Title
11, Title
35, and Title
49.
Letter of Acceptance
for contractors
A Letter of Acceptance will be sent out
to any first time Right of Way applicants. It includes information
regarding contractors responsibilities to restore and repair any
City of Tulsa Right of Way after construction.
Cleanup and
Restoration Policy
Right of Way Major Permits
Includes all construction that must be designed by a licensed
professional engineer, including but not limited to water mains,
sanitary sewers, storm sewers, storm drainage, street construction,
and other such engineering projects in connection with IDP, or as
may be required by the Director of Public Works.

Right of Way Minor Permits
Includes any project that can be constructed using standard
plans and specifications as outlined by the City standards and does
not require certification by a licensed professional engineer.
Bonding requirements under this category depend on whether
construction occurs in arterial streets or non-arterial
streets.
