Economic Development Partners and Organizations

The Downtown Coordinating Council (DCC) members include the Mayor (or designee), District 4 Councilor, Blake Ewing and includes representatives from the Tulsa Parking Authority, Economic Development Commission, BOK and Convention Center and the Tulsa Stadium Trust. The DCC provides support and advices making recommendations to the city regarding the coordination, planning and management of improvement efforts in Downtown Tulsa.

Economic Development Commission (EDC) is a 21-member volunteer city board made up of mayoral appointees from Tulsa's business community. EDC areas of focus include downtown and north Tulsa development, entrepreneurship and small business. The EDC is involved with various projects including PlaniTulsa and Global Entrepreneurship Week.

Tulsa Development Authority (TDA) is a 5 member volunteer city board with an Executive Director, dedicated to the continual enrichment of Tulsa and the enhancement of quality of life. TDA has the capacity to purchase and sell land, borrow money, apply for accept advances, loans, grants, contributions and any other form of financial assistance from the federal, state or county government.

The Tulsa Economic Development Corporation (TEDC) includes 25 members and four Mayor appointees, as well as the TEDC Executive Director. TEDC's mission is to create jobs, primarily for low and moderate income people and create business opportunities for minorities. TEDC currently is focusing on the North Tulsa Economic Development Initiative, including the Shoppes on Peoria.

Tulsa Industrial Authority (TIA) is an 8 member volunteer city authority that serves as a conduit in the issuance of 501 (c)(3) bonds and industrial development revenue bonds, which provide tax-exempt financing for qualified projects. TIA supplies comprehensive analysis of new issues and/or refunding opportunities, and assists the borrower in finalizing a transaction strategy and structure.
