The City of Tulsa is positioned to seize economic development opportunities through quick action and rapid response. Guided by the community's desire to retain, expand and recruit quality jobs and private investment to the City, Tulsa's primary goal is to re-energize the economic base and enhance the community's quality of life.

The Economic Development Team was created as a one-stop process for companies and businesses seeking to grow, expand, and/or relocate. The goal of this alliance is to provide policy and development information to businesses as quickly as possible, and to assist private investors and companies as they pursue success in a competitive, dynamic environment.

The Team employs a pro-active, systematic strategy to help businesses achieve success as they explore development and expansion opportunities within the city. Contacts come into one source within the Public Works and Development Department where concepts and plans are discussed pursuant to the City's economic development mission, goals and objectives. A strategy team will work quickly to provide information to inquiring businesses. Through the process, the City's goal is to evaluate the potential of business opportunities and make decisions within the day or week, as appropriate. The Team works in a partnership with the Tulsa Metro Chamber, Indian Nations Council of Governments, Tulsa County, Oklahoma Department of Commerce, Workforce Oklahoma and others, as well as private business.

The City's economic development strategy strengthens partnerships and alliances with local businesses, organizations, and state and federal agencies that can enhance economic development opportunities for businesses in Oklahoma.
