Mayor's Fitness Challenge
Getting Fit and Healthy for Life!
Let's get fit, Tulsa! The Mayor's Fitness Challenge (MFC) is a
program led by Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor to encourage healthy
lifestyles among Tulsans. But living a healthy life isn't just
about losing weight. It's about making good decisions and forming
healthy habits to last a lifetime.
Mayor's Fitness Challenge began in 2005 as an effort between
Tulsa and Oklahoma City. Today, Mayor Taylor spearheads the Mayor's
Fitness Challenge and is joined by 55 partners to encourage family
centered healthy lifestyles.
The latest Mayor's Fitness Challenge initiative, Tulsa
Million Miles, launched a brand-new Web site on October
21, 2008 to help Tulsans stay fit and active.
TulsaMillionMiles.com will help users track the number of miles
they walk, run, bike, or swim. Visitors to the site can also find
maps of nearby parks and trails and learn more about upcoming
activities like races and bike rides. Log on to
TulsaMillionMiles.com now and start tracking your
miles. Together, we can reach a million-and beyond!
