Smoke Alarms

Having a working smoke alarm increases your chances of getting
out of your home alive by 50 percent. Smoke alarms save lives only
if they are installed and properly maintained. Smoke alarms need to
be checked every month and batteries replaced two times per
year.
To receive a free smoke alarm you must own your home and live
within the city limits of Tulsa and be financially unable to afford
a smoke alarm.

It is the sole responsiblity of the property owner/landlord to
provide a working smoke alarm for tenants/renters according to
907.2.10.5 from the fire prevention code of the City of Tulsa.
