Tow List
Parking citations are issued by the City of Tulsa against
vehicles for violations of the parking ordinances contained within
the Tulsa Revised Ordinances. Upon issuance of a parking citation
against a vehicle owned by you, you may pay the fine indicated on
the face of the citation within ten (10) days from the date of
issuance (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and City Holidays). You may
plead not guilty, in person, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays at the
Municipal Court, 600 Civic Center, Room 228, Tulsa, OK, 74103, by
posting a cash bond equal to the fine amount indicated on the face
of the citation plus court costs within ten (10) days of the date
of issuance (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and City Holidays). In
the event you fail to either timely pay the fine or timely plead
not guilty and post the necessary cash bond, you will incur late
fees that must be paid in addition to the fine indicated on the
face of the citation.
When a vehicle has two (2) or more outstanding parking
citations, the Clerk of the Municipal Court shall notify in writing
the registered owner of such vehicle at the address listed on the
vehicle's state registration records advising that a hearing will
be held on a date certain to determine the vehicle a public
nuisance as provided by City ordinance and to order impoundment.
After the hearing held on a date certain, a Municipal Judge of the
City of Tulsa may declare the vehicle a public nuisance and order
the vehicle impounded. Impoundment shall be defined as the affixing
of a wheel boot that restricts the vehicle's movement and/or the
towing of the vehicle.
Once the vehicle has been declared a public nuisance and a
Municipal Judge has authorized impoundment, the vehicle is placed
on the City's Vehicle Tow List if the citations remain unpaid or
outstanding. A vehicle appearing on the Tow List may be towed or
have a disabling boot placed on it at any time. Additional charges
for towing, storage, and/or booting may be required to be paid in
addition to the amount of outstanding parking citations and late
fees before a vehicle will be released to its owner.
Payments on outstanding parking citations may be made at 600
Civic Center with the Court cashier, or City Hall at One Technology
Center, 175 E. 2nd Street with any Customer Service Cashier.
Customer hours for City Cashiers are Monday through Friday
(excluding City holidays) between 7:30 am and 5 p.m. If your
vehicle has been towed or booted you should inform the City Cashier
of such status so that appropriate information can be provided to
you for the release of your vehicle.
