Resolution calling for, and requesting the Election Board to conduct, a non-partisan Special Election on November 3, 2026, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of the City of Tulsa, in accordance with Oklahoma Statutes Title 68, §§ 2701 and 2705, the question of whether City of Tulsa Ordinance No. 25830, increasing the levy of an excise tax upon the gross proceeds or gross receipts derived from the rent from every occupancy of a room or rooms in a hotel in this city from five percent (5%) to nine and nine-tenths percent (9.9%), shall be approved; giving notice to the Tulsa County Election Board of said election, pursuant to Oklahoma Statutes Title 26, § 3-101 and § 13-102, and amendments thereto; authorizing and requesting the Mayor of the City of Tulsa to call and proclaim the holding of the Special Election in the City of Tulsa in accordance with Article VI of the City Charter, Section 4, “Calling Elections”.
