Tulsa Parks Hiring for Summer Pools

It's not too early to be thinking about a summer job and Tulsa Parks has lifeguard positions available.

Committed to providing a safe and enjoyable pool experience for the citizens of Tulsa, Tulsa Parks annually hires 45 - 60 individuals for lifeguard positions. There are also a limited number of pool manager positions available.

Designated pools will open this summer with the annual "Beach Bash" pool party on June 5 at McClure Park Pool.

To lifeguard at a City of Tulsa - Tulsa Parks pool, an applicant must be 16 years of age by May 29.  Those interested in attending Tulsa Parks' Lifeguard Certification classes can e-mail RFreiner@CityofTulsa.org. The next class begins February 26 for two consecutive weekends, totaling 32 hours. Enrollment space is limited.

A lifeguard applicant can also get certified through the YMCA or American Red Cross.

Anyone who is already certified may apply for a position now. Application forms and specific class prerequisites, as well as salary range for a lifeguard is available on the Tulsa Parks online.
