Service Line Warranty Program

The City of Tulsa and Indian Nations Council of Governments (INCOG) is now offering a voluntary Service Line Warranty Program to Tulsa homeowners, provided by Service Line Warranties of America (SLWA).

Through this program, homeowners may voluntary sign up for a warranty protection against normal wear and tear on water and sewer lines, which is not covered under most traditional homeowner policies. The warranty protection repairs the portion of the water or sewer line that runs between the exterior of the home to the public utility connection. This program does not include City owned lines, but service lines that are the responsibility of the homeowner.

If lines break, leak or clog - homeowners can call SLWA directly and SLWA will repair the line in typically 24-hours, using local, licensed contractors who are familiar with City codes and can ensure a timely response.

With a monthly minimal cost to the homeowner, the voluntary Service Line Warranty Program provides up to $4,000 in coverage to repair the line and an additional $4,000 for public street cutting, if necessary. The program has no service fees or deductibles and no annual or lifetime limits.

If a homeowner decides to sign up for the program, the homeowner will sign a contract with Service Line Warranties - Utility Service Partners Company directly, which is accredited by the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating. This program is offered at no cost to the City and no public funds are being used to administer the program.

The City of Tulsa is joining six other Oklahoma communities that have partnered with SLWA and saved Oklahoma homeowners nearly $400,000 in out-of-pocket repair costs. Service Line Warranties has this same program with various cities in 46 states throughout the country.
