Tulsa is the Capital of Route 66

With 28 miles of The Mother Road, Tulsa is known as the Capital of Route 66®. Route 66 has much of its origins in Tulsa, with Cyrus Avery, a Tulsan, being known as The Father of Route 66 for his role in the road's creation. November 11, 2026, will mark the road's 100th year. This 918 Day, we invite you to see how the City is working to ensure the continued success of our stretch of the famed highway.

About the Challenge:

• Who: All Tulsans are invited to participate
• What: An exploration of Tulsa's historic Route 66 for a chance to win the 918 Day Giveaway
• When: Saturday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. 
• Where: Thirteen stops along Route 66

• Pick up your passport at any of the thirteen passport stops or download it below

How to Play:

• Visit one of the thirteen passport stops (below) to pick up your Passport Card, get your stamp and shop around! To participate, be sure to show up early because Passport Card supplies are limited. You can also download and print it at home (see below).

Printing Your Passport:

Printing Info and Tips:

• Two passports will print on one sheet of paper
• Use 8.5" x 11" (Letter) paper
• Print on both sides (Choose to Flip on Long Edge)
• Print in black and white
• Print the passport at full or actual size. Do not choose "Fit to Page"
• After printing, fold the sheet in half
• After folding, cut along the dotted line to complete your passport
