Volunteer for the 25th Annual Day of Caring - Sept.
Help Kick Off the City's Charitable Giving Campaign during the
2016 Day of Caring. The Kick Off Celebration is set for Friday,
Sept. 9 at the Expo Square Main Entrance under the Golden Driller.
Breakfast will be served for participants at 7 a.m. along with the
campaign kick-off program. Volunteers will leave at 8 a.m. for
their assigned projects.
This year, City of Tulsa projects include Woodward Park Rose
Garden Cleanup, Skelly Park painting and Zink Park Fence Repair.
Please note that you do not have to use leave time, such as a
vacation day or floating holiday, for City projects. Participation
requires supervisor approval. You can order a t-shirt at the
link below. Shirts are $16 for Small, Medium, Large and X-Large. 2X
and 3X are $18 each.
If you would like to work at a United Way Agency during the Day
of Caring, you can contact the Tulsa Area United Way and they will
match you with a project that meets your interests.

project that is right for you. United Way projects require the
employee to take a vacation day.

meetings are moving from Thursdays to Wednesdays. The Public Works
Committee is now at 8:30 a.m., Urban and Economic Development at 10
a.m., and the City Council Meeting is at 6 p.m.
