Neighborhood Academy

Every Tulsan should live in a neighborhood in which they feel they belong. Over time, neighborhoods may no longer fulfill the resident’s vision. The goal of Neighborhood Academy is to equip residents with the tools and knowledge to make effective change.

Participants that complete the coursework by attending all 3 Neighborhood Academy sessions will be awarded a neighborhood leader certificate by City Council and the Mayor's Office!

What are the benefits of becoming a Neighborhood Academy certified leader?

• Gain tools that empower you and your neighbors to work towards improving the places you live in. 
• Become a representative of your neighborhood and build relationships with City officials and City departments. 
• Learn about the City's Authorities, Boards, and Commissions.  
• Learn how to navigate the City of Tulsa and access available resources.  
• Help your neighborhood acquire prioritized status on community programs and projects launched by the City of Tulsa.
• Engage and partner with other neighborhood leaders across Tulsa.
