Tulsa Parks has over 85 parks with sports courts across the city. Upgrades to our courts began in early 2024 and will continue to work on improvements until Fall 2026. These improvements will enhance recreation opportunities across Tulsa Parks, made possible through the Improve Our Tulsa II capital improvements project
These completed projects have introduced new and refurbished facilities, including 32 new pickleball courts, five new basketball courts, three new volleyball courts, one new futsal court, one new "all sports" court, and one chinlone court. Additionally, 33 existing tennis courts and 11 basketball or half-basketball courts have been resurfaced, providing a multi-sport experience for Tulsa residents.

Through Improve our Tulsa 1 and 2, as well as other park funds, grants, and private partnerships, Parks has $9.8M in funding to improve playgrounds expected to begin at the end of this year.
In 2022, Tulsa Parks did a condition assessment to evaluate the condition at each of our 109 playgrounds at 88 parks to determine how best to prioritize these improvements. Throughout this process, we consulted Parks maintenance and recreation staff, evaluating previous "Lets Talk Tulsa Parks" 2020 survey responses, discussions with city councilors and neighborhood groups, to determine the playgrounds that are the most used and the most in need of improvements, and that would affect park users citywide. The plan was then brought to council for approval.
