Voluntary Compliance Toolkit

The primary goal of Code Enforcement is to work with residents and property owners to achieve voluntary compliance with City codes. This cooperative approach benefits both the community and the City by helping resolve issues efficiently and maintaining neighborhood standards. Below are helpful tools and resources available to assist in achieving voluntary compliance.

Communication:
Communication with the Code Enforcement Officer assigned to your case is an important part of achieving voluntary compliance. Code Enforcement has several internal tools and resources that may be available to assist you. We strongly encourage you to contact the officer who issued the notice by phone or email to begin a positive and productive conversation about resolving the issue.

Status of a case:

• Property owners and/or tenants can search Citizen’s Self-Serve Portal. This page will provide up to date information available to the public about a specific case and case history for a property.

Dilapidated Structures:

• Residential Occupancy Standards – this is a list of requirements to ensure a property is brought to the minimum property maintenance standards for occupancy.
• Owner rehabilitation packet – Sample Letter of Understanding and Sample Construction Schedule (speak to your assigned Code Officer)
• Looking to sell – this is a list of investors that are looking to purchase property in the City of Tulsa
• List of licensed demolition contractors in the City of Tulsa

Mult-Family Housing:

• Compliance Checklist
