City Details Available Greenwaste Disposal Options for Tulsa Residents

7/7/2026

While there were no widespread damage reports from this weekend's storm, the City of Tulsa is reminding residents of the greenwaste disposal options available to them.

Primary Gray Trash Cart - If it Fits, That's it
Any extra capacity in the primary gray trash cart can be used for bagged yard waste. All trash, including yard waste, placed in the gray cart must fit with the lid completely closed and can only be placed in the gray trash cart.

Curbside Pickup
Tulsans may also bundle smaller, lighter limbs together and leave them on the curb on their normal trash day. Bundles should be no larger than two feet across and five feet long, must be placed at the curb, and should NEVER be placed below power lines, over water meter cans, or in the street and/or over curb and gutter systems.

Bundles more than 40 pounds will require a scheduled Bulky Waste Pickup, which is $10 per 8 cubic yards. Information about scheduling a bulky waste pickup can be found online at: www.cityoftulsa.org/bulkywaste

Extra Greenwaste
Tulsans with extra greenwaste that doesn't fit in their gray trash cart and that can't be bundled may also be bagged in a transparent bag and placed at the curb at no extra cost.

Combined, households may place a total of 15 of these transparent bags and/or curbside bundles at the curb on the household’s primary collection day (e.x. 15 transparent bags only, or seven transparent bags and eight bundles).

Mulch Site
Tulsans can also drop off greenwaste free of charge at the City of Tulsa's Mulch Site at 2100 N. 145th E. Ave.
